Write Auction Lot Descriptions with AI — Gavelist Tutorial

Every lot starts as just photos. To write them all at once, click Describe All.

One click, and Gavelist reads the photos and writes a title and a description for every lot - working through the whole board at once. The band up top tracks it live.

A few minutes later, the band reads Complete - every lot has a description. If any lot failed, a Retry button re-runs just those.

Each row is a lot - you see the Title, the Description, and the Photos, plus more columns you can turn on, like estimates.

Anything Gavelist wrote, you can change. Click a Title cell and type - you're editing right in the table.

Same with the Description. Click in, adjust the wording, and it saves as you go.

And if a description misses the mark, open the lot and click Describe. Gavelist takes a fresh look at the photos and rewrites just that one lot.

The photo panel shows every shot. Previous and Next move through them - click a photo to zoom, plus and minus scale it, and Escape closes.

On a big sale, jump anywhere with search. Press Control K, type a word from a title, and the table filters down.

The Columns menu controls the table - toggle any field on or off, wrap the long text, or reset to default. Let's turn on Reviewed.

When a lot reads right, mark it Reviewed. The counter up top shows exactly how much of the catalog you've cleared.

Text too small? The minus and plus controls resize the whole table.

That's the catalog stage - generate all, edit inline, re-describe a miss, and sign off with Reviewed. Next - market comparisons and product photos.
