What is Gavelist?
Gavelist is AI auction cataloging software that reads every photo in a lot, writes the title, description and condition, and exports ready-made files for HiBid, LiveAuctioneers, Proxibid, BidWrangler, AuctionNinja and Auction Flex 360, at $0.15 per lot pay-as-you-go or $79 a month for 1,000 lots, with 0% of auction sales.
Gavelist is the cataloging step of a sale: you photograph the lots, Gavelist writes the catalog, and you import the file into the platform you already sell on.
What Gavelist does
- Photos. Gavelist reads every photo in a lot together, with no per-lot limit; lots with eight or more photos get their own AI pass. Measured October 8, 2026: 38,724 completed lots in the previous 90 days, the most photos on one lot 91 (median 3).
- Writing. Gavelist writes the title, description and condition for every lot, describing 1,000+ lots in about 10 minutes on the description pass, in your house style learned from your edits, applying only the style rules you approve.
- Exports. Gavelist exports ready-made files for HiBid, LiveAuctioneers, Proxibid, BidWrangler, AuctionNinja and Auction Flex 360, an import workbook for Auctioneer Software, an eBay drafts CSV, and a generic CSV for AuctionZip, AuctionMethod, Wavebid and any other spreadsheet-import platform.
- HiBid. HiBid sales are built in Auction Flex 360: you import Gavelist's Auction Flex 360 file (a lot-import CSV and a photo ZIP named by lot number) into Auction Flex 360 and upload the sale to HiBid from there.
- eBay. Gavelist's eBay drafts CSV is uploaded once in Seller Hub; every item lands in your eBay Drafts, and nothing goes live until you publish.
- Value ranges. Optional comps with a value range, 15 cents per lot, charged only when delivered; each comp shows its source, and current listings are labeled as asking prices.
- Price. $0.15 per lot pay-as-you-go, or $79 a month for 1,000 lots, $160 for 2,500 and $250 for 5,000, with $0.09 per lot over a plan and 0% of auction sales. The first 100 lots over 30 days are free with no card, including 10 comps lots and 10 product-photo lots.
What Gavelist isn't
- Gavelist is not a bidding platform: you keep the platform you sell on.
- Gavelist has no connection, sync or direct posting to any platform; every export is a file you import.
- Gavelist has no Whatnot, Shopify or Etsy export; the generic CSV can be copied into another store's import template.
- Gavelist is not a point-of-sale or consignment ledger: no consignor statements, commission accounting or settlement.
- Gavelist gives value ranges from comps you can check; it does not authenticate items.
- Gavelist has no native phone app and no offline mode: you shoot on any camera and upload the sale in one batch.
