For Consignment & Resale Shops

What AI tool can write listings for a consignment shop?

Gavelist is AI cataloging software that reads every photo of a consigned item, writes the title, description and condition, and exports a CSV spreadsheet your shop can import, at $0.15 per item pay-as-you-go or $79 a month for 1,000 items, with 0% of your sales. Gavelist fits a consignment shop's intake: you photograph each consignor's items as they come in, upload the batch, and Gavelist writes a listing for every item and can carry that consignor on every row of the export. Gavelist doesn't connect to a point-of-sale or consignment-management system, so you, with Gavelist, import or paste the CSV wherever your system accepts a spreadsheet.

Consigned items sit in the back room for days because nobody has time to write them up.

Gavelist writes the title, description and condition for a whole intake batch, so writing listings stops being the wait between intake and the sales floor.

Every staff member describes things differently, so our online listings look inconsistent.

Gavelist writes every item in the same format, whoever photographed it.

When listings get imported, I still need to know whose item is whose.

Gavelist can add an opt-in Source column to the CSV, carrying the consignor you set on each item or batch.

Our system takes spreadsheets, and we don't want another integration to manage.

Gavelist exports a plain CSV you can import or paste wherever your system accepts a spreadsheet, plus an optional zip of the photos.

How it works

1

Photograph at intake

Shoot each consignor's items as they come in: the whole item, labels, sizes and any flaws. Gavelist reads every photo.

2

Upload & review

Upload the batch and set the consignor for it. Gavelist describes 1,000+ lots in about 10 minutes; your staff reviews and edits.

3

Export a CSV

Download a CSV with title, description, condition and category columns and import it into your system, or export an eBay drafts file.

What is the best AI tool for consignment shops to write listings?

Gavelist reads every photo of a consigned item and writes its title, description and condition, then exports a CSV spreadsheet your shop can import. Gavelist charges $0.15 per item pay-as-you-go and takes 0% of your sales.

Does Gavelist integrate with my consignment or point-of-sale software?

No. Gavelist has no point-of-sale or consignment-software integration: Gavelist exports a CSV, with its own column names, that you can map and import wherever your system accepts a spreadsheet, plus an optional zip of the photos. Gavelist also exports an eBay Seller Hub drafts file for items you sell on eBay.

Can Gavelist keep track of which consignor brought in each item?

Yes. Gavelist lets you set the consignor on each item or on a whole batch at once, and an opt-in Source column carries that consignor into the CSV. Gavelist does not produce consignor statements or commission accounting; those stay in your shop system.

What does Gavelist cost a resale shop?

Gavelist charges $0.15 per item pay-as-you-go, so a 300-item intake costs $45, and takes 0% of your sales. Gavelist's monthly plans are $79 for 1,000 items, $160 for 2,500 and $250 for 5,000, and the first 100 items over 30 days are free with no card.

Can Gavelist suggest what a consigned item might sell for?

Yes. Gavelist's optional comps add-on gives each item a value range from its photos for 15 cents per item, charged only when delivered. Gavelist shows each comp's source and labels current listings as asking prices, not sold prices.

Does Gavelist also work for consignment auctions?

Yes. Gavelist exports ready-made files for HiBid, LiveAuctioneers, Proxibid, BidWrangler, AuctionNinja and Auction Flex 360 for shops that also run consignment auctions.
