Circuit Auction Alternatives, Priced by Job

Circuit Auction alternatives priced from each vendor's own page (September 2026): AuctionMethod, BidWrangler, Auction Flex 360 + HiBid, Estimint and Gavelist, by the job each one replaces.

Circuit Auction sells a white-label auction platform: your own bidding website, CRM, invoicing and settlement, with AI catalog creation as a paid add-on. Its Standard plan is $250 a month on an annual commitment plus 2% commission on winning bids, and the AI cataloging add-on is another $250 a month. The alternatives below each replace a different part of that bundle. Some replace the whole platform, some only the bidding and back office, and Gavelist replaces only the cataloging. This guide prices each one from its own published page, accessed September 30, 2026.

Published October 2026 by Ben Cope, founder of Gavelist. Gavelist is one of the options below, for the cataloging job only, so read it that way.

Circuit Auction in five verified facts

According to Circuit Auction's pricing page (accessed September 30, 2026):

  • Standard plan: "$250 /month* + 2% commission on winning bids," where the asterisk means "With annual commitment"; it is "$350/month without commitment."
  • What Standard includes: "Unlimited auctions and listings," live and timed bidding, "Full CRM and invoicing," and "White-label under your domain."
  • AI cataloging is extra: "AI-powered catalog creation (+$250/month)," alongside credit card processing (+$100/month) and shipping (+$75/month) add-ons.
  • Enterprise plan: a fixed price with "No commission on any sales" and all Standard add-ons included; the price is quoted on request.
  • Focus: Circuit's home page shows coin, stamp and fine art auction sites as examples, has a dedicated Collectibles section, and lists multi-currency support and "40+ Languages."

What the alternatives cost

Each option prices a different unit: per month, per user, per lot, or a share of the hammer. The fair comparison is on the job each one takes over. Software fees only, lowest published plan, accessed September 30, 2026:

Option Circuit job it replaces Published price Share of sales
Circuit Auction (Standard + AI add-on) Whole platform $500/month on annual terms ($250 + $250 AI) 2% of winning bids
AuctionMethod Bidding website, clerking, invoicing Growth $100/month + $250 one-time activation; consignor add-on $75/month None ("never touch your auction proceeds")
Auction Flex 360 + HiBid Back office; bidding on HiBid Solo $95/month (1 user), Team $145 (2 to 5 users) 2% HiBid auction fee + $0.25 per unique bid, capped at $150
BidWrangler Bidding website and app, cataloging, invoicing Not published Not published
Estimint Clerking, invoices, settlements, AI listings (no bidding site) Auction Pro $149/month (3,500 listings) None listed
Gavelist AI cataloging only $0.15/lot, or $79 (1,000 lots), $160 (2,500), $250 (5,000) a month 0%

The biggest line on Circuit's Standard plan is often the commission, not the subscription. On $100,000 of winning bids a month, 2% is $2,000 on top of the $500. AuctionMethod's page states "There's never any platform skim or additional per-lot, event, or photo charges," so the same month costs $100 plus any add-ons. Auction Flex 360 users selling on HiBid pay a 2% auction fee as well, per Auction Flex's pricing page.

Replacing only Circuit's AI cataloging add-on

If Circuit's bidding site and CRM suit you but the $250-a-month AI cataloging add-on does not, Gavelist can write the catalog instead. At $0.15 per lot, Gavelist's pay-as-you-go matches that $250 add-on at about 1,667 lots a month, and Gavelist's $250 Enterprise plan covers 5,000 lots. Gavelist reads every photo attached to a lot together and writes 1,000+ lots in about 10 minutes on the description pass, then hands you a universal CSV/XLS to import into your platform. Circuit's page does not describe its import format, so test one sale's file before switching a whole catalog.

For collectibles, the marks carry the value. According to Gavelist production data through September 22, 2026, 96.3% of the 58,134 lots clients exported through Gavelist went out with no client edit to the AI-written title or description; one client supplied about 70% of those lots at 99.8%, and across every other Gavelist client the figure is 88.2%. A lot counts as edited if the client saved a change to its title or description in Gavelist before exporting.

Replacing the whole platform

  • AuctionMethod. According to AuctionMethod's pricing page (accessed September 30, 2026), every plan "includes unlimited auctions, bids, lots, items, photos and admin users," on a white-labeled site, month-to-month. Growth is $100 a month, Scale $750, and custom work starts at $1,500, with one-time activation of $250, $2,500 and $5,000. Simulcast streaming for hybrid sales is a $150-a-month add-on.
  • BidWrangler. According to BidWrangler's home page (accessed September 30, 2026), it is "Independently Owned," offers "Branded, white-label solutions," a mobile bidding app, and "built-in AI cataloging tools" that "draft titles and descriptions from your photos." It publishes no prices, so request a quote in writing.
  • Auction Flex 360 with HiBid. According to Auction Flex's pricing page (accessed September 30, 2026), it is web-based software "to catalog and manage sales, with seamless integration to HiBid for bidding," at $95 to $295 a month by user count. Your bidders use HiBid rather than your own domain.

A decision framework

  • You want your own branded bidding site with no commission: AuctionMethod's $100 Growth plan, or Circuit's Enterprise plan if you want Circuit and can meet its quote.
  • You sell mostly through HiBid: Auction Flex 360 for the back office, and a cataloging tool for descriptions.
  • You like Circuit's platform but not the AI add-on price: keep Circuit and use Gavelist for the catalog.
  • You need clerking and settlements more than a website: Estimint's $149 Auction Pro plan.

The online share of the business keeps growing: according to Technavio (accessed September 2026), the online auction market is valued to increase by USD 4.25 billion, at a CAGR of 13.6% from 2025 to 2030. That growth is why a 2% commission line deserves a hard look before you sign an annual commitment.
